what we've done
Our Founder and CEO, Angie Franklin, has covered so much ground in the last 4 years. The short story: she teaches yoga and the business of yoga.
The long story: she’s held 40+ collaborations with local businesses, is a 3x lululemon ambassador having led racial equity trainings to their national leadership teams, mentored hundreds of aspiring wellness entrepreneurs, graduated over 163 people from her Afro Yoga Business School and launched an online yoga studio in the early era of the pandemic to support her global community.
Not to mention a podcast that has reached over 18,000 streams in just 3 seasons, countless interviews, TV features and print media coverage.
we're proud to say
Angie still offers bi-monthly donation based classes and continues to impact the wellness industry by redefining, reshaping and rebuilding what it means to be well. Everything she has learned over the years about brand building, serving marginalized communities, marketing, building revenue streams and developing authentic relationships, she has shared with her community.
Angie is an open book — she learns, shares and grows her brand in front of her audience in real time. Her community values her authenticity, candor and her innovative services and products that have truly transformed the lives of many BIPOC in the wellness industry.
She’s donated close to $10,000 in funding through her non-profit, Afro Yoga Community, providing scholarships for aspiring yoga teachers and with increased funding, will offer access to Afro Yoga business programs and wellness-focused employment opportunities.
