allow me to introduce myself

My name is Angie Franklin Garcia and I’m the Founder, CEO and visionary of Afro Yoga and Kemyasa — wellness movements revolutionizing and disrupting the industry status quo.

I’ve been called a trailblazer in the wellness space. Once I realized the deep lack of representation and opportunity for growth in traditional yoga spaces back in 2016, I set out to take people beyond the studio. Over the last 7 years I’ve led activations, spoken on panels, collaborated with local and global partners, hosted 8 retreats, supported venture capital firms with wellness programming and cultivated an incredibly loyal community of thousands of people.

I have over a decade of experience in the wellness industry, 400 hours of yoga certifications and partnerships with Fortune 500 companies like the NBA, New York Times, Microsoft, Lululemon and more—cultivating a powerful presence on and off the mat.

For a personal touch here, I am fully bilingual having been born in Spain and am half Spanish. I’m an Aquarius and as such, I love to break down old structures and rebuild them with visionary prowess. I’m not afraid to take risks, be the first one to do something or speak my mind. I deeply value community, love and spirituality which is what I lead with in my work.

As the founder and CEO Afro Yoga and our newest venture Kemyasa, I’ve been revolutionizing yoga by blending African and Indian traditions, slowly but surely redefining modern wellness practices.

With my expertise creating impactful community programs, coupled with her deep knowledge of yoga and business strategy, I’m working with clients seeking to foster meaningful change and drive growth within their organizations.

Moving forward I’m most excited about the launch of Kemyasa, fusing African and Indian yogic traditions and working with socially responsible corporate partners on wellness programming and retreats.
